A friend of mine called me up to say he’d like to meet with me because he’s been having problems with his Dell XPS400 system. I said “ok”, we can meet up at BestBuy down at GreenBay Road. I thought we were just going to talk about his technical issue with his Dell desktop, but he brought it and shoved it with a stern friendly “fix it please” to my face.
Sure, I don’t have anything important to do these days so I gladly obliged and brought home his desktop PC. I tried booting it but immediately gave up when the few cranks of the hard disk spindle had a loud “ticking” sound. Ah… hard disk failure for sure.
So long story short, I asked Dell to send me my friends operating system CD and the driver CD. This post is about that. I’d just like to give my high approval for Dell’s technical support system. Even if my call was routed to South East Asia, those guys handled my trouble ticket very well. They’re sending me the disk in 3 business days… FOR FREE! How’s that!
Thanks Dell… avid fan here! You’ll have my business for a long long time!
