Patrick Swayze, who captured the heart of women all over the world, as the misunderstood bad boy Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing and as the doomed lover in Ghost, died Monday. Swayze succumbed to pancreatic cancer, a disease he had been battling for more than two years.
Swayze was 57.
Swayze was diagnosed to have stage 4 pancreatic cancer in January 2008. Even though he was sick and and with the cancer spreading to his liver, he still managed to work and completed filming for his TV series The Beast.
He will be forever remembered for Dirty Dancing and Ghost.
Rest in peace, Mr. Swayze.
