MTV movie awards

Mike Myers suffered no anxiety attacks while hosting the “I have learned to have way more fun doing these shows,” says Myers, who’ll once again host the MTV Movie Awards.

It’s his second time. “I’m already excited. I think the last time … it was nerve-racking. Now I know exactly what it is, and it’s just fun.”

He’ll be sharing the stage with Lindsay Lohan, Katharine McPhee. Anne Hathaway, Zac Efron, and performers like the Pussycat Dolls and Coldplay. Will there be anyting like his classic “Lord of the Dance” spoof in 1997? We’re not sure, but he promises a lot of new gimmicks. “There’s a lot of props and stunts and stuff like that.” And, just to get your appetites up (or down, depending…) he promises “A full expanse of my underwear.”

Uhm, okay.

Nominees this year include Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Juno’s Ellen Page and Michael Cera.

Making Whoopie

Project Runway winner Christian Siriano will be designing the dress Whoopie Goldberg will wear when she hosts the Tonys. The show will be broadcast by CBS on June 15 — and no other than New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will open the night. Cool!

Kid’s Choice Awards

The Kids’ Choice Awards named Miley Cyrus the fans’ Favorite TV actress and SInger — and did her the great favor of sparing her from being bathed in a bucket of green slime.

Unfortunately, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull star Harrison Ford took the bullet — or rather, the bucket. He takes comfort from being in good, if slightly “greenish” company: Justin Timberlake, Nicole Kidman, Pink and Johnny Depp.

Green was the theme of the night. Host Jack Black had several green outfits; favorite Movie Actress Jessica Alba wore a green gown.

Cameron Diaz got back-to-back awards two years running — last year, she took home “Big Burp Award” and this year, she got the “Wanna Be Award.”

“Oh wow. And when I say wow, I mean, Wow!” she said. “This is the biggest honor in my entire life.”

Whoopi accepts Oscar apology

Whoopi Goldberg was visibly upset about being left out of the Oscar tribute to past hosts of the award ceremonies. Now, the producers are apologizing profusely. “Gil Cates called me yesterday,” Goldberg said on the ABC daytime show, The View. “He made an oversight, pure and simple.”
