The news has been spreading round the web, fueled by “confirmations” from her rep who supposedly blamed it on her rhinoplasty job.
But it’s a lie, folks. Her real rep has said that it’s just a dumb rumor and that her fans can take down that Youtube video exorting everyone to pray for Ashley.
Zac Efron’s excited about filming the third installment in the highly successful High School Musical series.
He says there’s been a lot of “calm energy” on the set, and that the recent award he received for his role in Hairspray — he got “Best Breakthrough Performance” only inspires him to do even better.
Not that he hasn’t already done phenomenally well. “We just kind of can’t go wrong with Kenny Ortega as our director and leader and our great cast and crew. We’ve got no squabbles to get through.”
Of course, fans can expect more from the movie. “Everything’s been stepped up a few notches, all the dances, and I think the songs are pretty catchy this time around. And it’s our senior year, so we’ve got graduation and prom to look forward to. All fun things to have in a movie.”
It was bound to happen. With all the hype surrounding high school musical and American Idol, it was only a matter of time before someone would think of combining the two.

The star of High School Musical told MTV
that he’s a big fan of the reality show. “I have such admiration for those guys — they go literally from zero to 60 in a matter of days and they handle it like champs … I couldn’t have done that: go to the peak of your fame within a month of starting.”
He tends to agree with Simon’s comments, but his favorite judge is, by far, Paula. “She’s a real sweetheart.”
The third installation of the wildly successful teen musical, High School Musical, is to return in October of 2008, entitled “High School Musical: Senior Year” on the Disney Channel.
Starring all the original stars, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, the final installment will find the high school kids during their last year together and facing the inevitable – College and going their separate ways. The stars also expressed much nostalgia with filming for the last time and facing a similar predicament in real life – saying goodbye to the gang.
