Even though it’s good to be self-sufficient, you don’t always get to pick the life situations that you’re in that might lead you to be in that position. In some cases, the best thing you can do is seek out exceptionally talented help for your particular problem. 

It doesn’t have to be an egocentric thing. You might simply be looking for the best solution to an issue, and you know that you don’t have the skill set to make it happen. Rather than getting someone mediocre, aim for the best.
