Hills update: shoplifting, pigeonholes, and Roxy rumors

We can’t stop ourselves from talking about The Hills. It’s one of the best guilty pleasures to ever hit the tube — especially since the writer’s strike has put some of the shows to a screeching halt. Best part is that the drama continues off-screen. Spencer Pratt’s sister Stephanie (also called “The She Pratt” just got caught shoplifting at Neiman Marcus.

But, there’s no truth to the rumor that Roxy Olin (daughter of
“Brothers and Sisters” producer Ken Olin) will join the wedding party. She did do a cameo, though — she was standing next to Spencer’s sister when she dissed Lauren at the bar. Roxy’s mom, Patricia (who stars in “Prison Break” — my, what a TV family) says that the first and last appearance. The Hills bigwigs were wooing her to do another one, but she only agreed to join that episode out of a favor to Spencer, who was a high school buddy. “They kind of pigeonhole you into stuff there,” said Patricia.

Spencer walks out — is the wedding off?

Is Heidi of the Hills ready to cancel the wedding? Looks like the fairytale romance has hit a few last-minute snags, even though their fight simmered off to a sweet ending with a bouquet of roses and a tearful apology.

But, Heidi’s already talking about how she’s not ready to get married. “He’s just over it and I’m burnt out and it’s all happening so fast and I feel like if anything it’s just tearing us apart,” she confides to her groom’s sister Stephanie. She tells him (naturally!) and he confronts her. “Is the big wedding just an excuse for you to stall and not have a wedding?” More fighting — with no roses this time — and he walks out.

“Don’t you dare leave,” she screams, “If you leave, don’t come back!”

Uh-oh.

Fakers, fakers, fakers! Rumors are going around that producers of MTV’s The Hills are casting for major roles in the wedding of Spencer of Heidi.

Pathetic. Bad enough that they’re manipulating a reality show, but a wedding? Guess Spencer and Heidi don’t have enough real friends — or marriage has turned into an acceptable Hollywood publicity stunt. Well, if they’re faking things, they might as well make it damn entertaining. Cake fight, cake fight!
