Over 16 million people tuned into MTV (and MTV2, VH1) the other night to watch the MTV Movie Awards, the show’s best performance in more than half a decade.
Host Aziz Ansari from NBC’s Parks and Recreation led the bleeping show, which featured about a thousand curse words that were “censored.”
Twilight stars led the award-winning pack but Sandra Bullock stole the headlines with her first appearance since getting dogged by Jesse James. A kiss on the lips with Scarlett Johansson should help the soon-to-be-divorced Bullock move on.
In my opinion, Tom Cruise (as fictional movie exec Les Grossman) and J. Lo stole the show with an entertaining and amusing dance number. Take note fallen stars…this is how you reclaim your stardom.

Theron wants team-up with Cruise in The Tourist
Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron is reportedly interested in teaming with Tom Cruise in the movie The Tourist, a remake of the 2005 French Thriller Anthony Zimmer. The remake will be directed by Bharat Nalluri.
The story is about a female Interpol agent that employs an American tourist in capturing a criminal with whom she had a relationship with.
Production for the movie is set for March next year.
Cruise partner steps down
Paula Wagner, Tom Cruise’s long-time producing partner, has decided to step down from her role as CEO and co-owner of United Artists effectively ending her long-time partnership with Cruise.
A lot of speculation has floated in the industry regarding her departure but the strongest seems to be her alleged mismanagement of two movies from Cruise that have attracted a lot of negative buzz. The first was Lions for Lambs, which was a big flop, and the second one is Valkyrie, the troubled Bryan Singer-directed production that has met with a lot of difficulties and delays. Surprisingly, Wagner’s decision came a couple of weeks after her husband, a long-time agent of Cruise’s, also resigned from CAA to join Morgan Creek.
Cruise’s little empire is showing some cracks right now. He should reassess his domain and repolish his tarnished career.
Tom Cruise’s son appears in Will Smith’s movie
In what could be a way of showing to everyone that they’re the bestest pals in the world, Tom Cruise’s son will be appearing in Will Smith’s new movie.
Connor Cruise, the adopted son of both Tom and Nicole Kidman, has finished filming for his non-speaking part in the dramatic vehicle Seven Pounds. Connor, who is 13 years old, plays the young Will Smith. The movie is still being shot with The Pursuit of Happyness director Gabriele Muccino, helming this one, too. Rosario Dawson costars in the movie. The movie tells the story of a man who has somehow affected the lives of seven people.
10 Movies with Floral Titles
I spend a lot of my free time out in the garden, but the late night hours are devoted to watching movies in my home theatre. While I don’t often get a chance to combine my two loves, I am drawn to any film with the name of a flower in the title. If you happen to share my passions, here are 10 movies with floral titles to add to your queue.
